Basic Guide to Diamonds
Diamonds quality is defined by four parameters, known as the 4C's:
Every diamond, regardless of its shape, gets it brilliancy and sparkle by cutting and polishing the diamond facets to allow the maximum amount of light that enters through its top to be reflected and dispersed back through its top.
Fashionista Jewelry diamonds always have the nicest cut, so they would have the best fire and sparkle.
Fashionista Jewelry Color Range
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) rates the body color in White Diamonds from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow).
The best color for a White diamond is no color at all. A totally colorless diamond allows light to pass through it easily, resulting in the light being dispersed as every color of the rainbow.
Fashionista Jewelry Diamonds are in the range color of D-I, so the diamonds would always look white & bright, with great colorful sparkle.
Each Natural diamond is unique, and might contain inclusions, same as some people were born with birthmarks.
Levels of Clarity:
- IF - Internally Flawless
- VVS1/2 – Very Very Slightly Included
- VS1/2 - Very Slightly Included
- SI1/2 - Slightly Included
- I1/2 - Included (visible to the eye)
Fashionista Jewelry diamonds are all natural diamonds, however that doesn't mean they should look imperfect. We only use eye clean to flawless clarity diamonds, so they would always look impeccable.
Fashionista Jewelry Clarity Range
The Diamond’s weight is measured in carats. One carat is equal to 0.2 grams, which means 1 gram = 5 carats. One carat is 100 points, which means 50 points diamond is 0.5ct.
The bigger a natural diamond is, the more rare it is to find, and therefore the more expensive it would be.
Fashionista Jewelry diamonds come in a variety of sizes, best matching the jewelry design.
